Mission Statement

Ocean Christian Community is a nondenominational church. That is to say that we are not affiliated with any denomination or national church body. Being a christian church however, we believe in the unity of the church and seek fellowship with all Christians. We therefore welcome people from all backgrounds.

Ocean Christian Community is an evangelical church. We believe in the gospel, the good news about Jesus Christ. We preach Christ as our crucified and risen Lord and seek to introduce others to Him.

Ocean Christian Community is a charismatic church. We are open to the work of the Holy Spirit and believe that it is through the gifts and fruits of the spirit that the church is encouraged and built up.

We at Ocean Christian Community take the Bible as our guide for faith and practice, and we attempt to live according to its teaching. We believe that the most important thing in life is to love God with all our being and to love our neighbor as ourselves. You will not find perfection at Ocean Christian Community, but you will find a warm welcome at any of our gatherings.

We believe the bible to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent, in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, In His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and in their manifestation in the church today.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost that are saved unto the resurrection of life and that they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. Without error in there original writings. God revealing Himself through His word for salvation and restoration of man.

We also believe in the Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God--There is only one God Creator of all things in Heaven and Earth. Existing in three manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ--Is true God and true man. Born of the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. He died on the cross and rose again on the third day. One sacrifice for all mankind for the atonement of our sins.

The Holy Spirit--The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. To indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer to live a Chrisitian life and service.

Salvation--The shed blood of Jesus Christ and his resurrection provide the only justification and salvation for all who believe through the witness of the Holy Spirit.
